Other individuals in the community who are not associated with these organizations or the legal community also provide donations for the purchase of new clothing and blankets. Each participating entity collects used clothing, toiletries, blankets, and related items during the first weekend of December. Volunteers sort these donated items and assist in delivering these items to homeless support organizations in the Washington DC area.
