Brent's Place is the only Children's Hospital Colorado approved Safe-Clean housing facility for these patients and their families. The facility strives to promote healing and recovery through extensive family support and an environment designed and maintained to minimize the risk of infection. Brent's Place provides housing and support programs to all of our families throughout their stay. In 2018, we served 230 patients and, with the addition of another building, provided nearly 14,000 room nights, and 900 support programs and activities to patients and families in need. See Schedule O for continuation.Brent Eley Center (the "Center") owns the Brent's Place facility in Aurora, Colorado, which is comprised of land and two adjacent buildings - "Founder's House", which opened in February 2009, and "Tanner's House", which opened in June 2017. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 12c At an annual meeting, the members of the board of directors review the conflict of interest policy statement and state any potential conflicts of interest according to the policy. They are asked to sign a policy statment annually disclosing any existing conflicts of interest and the mitigating steps being implemented to resolve the conflicts, or confirming that there are no conflicts of interest. Employees are also asked to complete and sign a conflict of interest questionnaire upon hire and on an annual basis thereafter. Compliance with the policy is monitored by the CEO. This report is categorized by size of organization, budget, job description and is used regularly to determine base salaries. The CEO's salary is determined by the Board of Directors who base compensation on performance and that of similar positions at other organizations of similar size and budget in the community.
