ACCT-American Cultural Center Tours program (ACCT) The purpose of this program is to bring American performing artists to tour American Cultural Centers (the "Centers") housed in universities across China and serve as cultural ambassadors to foster a more diverse and nuanced understanding of American culture. There are 19 Centers in 16 provinces, each housed on the campus of a Chinese university. The ACCT program creates unprecedented opportunities for visiting artists and student audiences to meet, interact, and share. Through performances, master classes, workshops, seminars, and discussions, the ACCT program facilitates active, informed engagement between cultures. The ACCT program enriches the lives of the students involved, and sends American artists home with a deeper understanding of Chinese culture and society.
