In the year ending 2018, we rescued, spayed or neutered 384 cats and found homes for 392 kittens and cats. Most of the cats that we rescue come to us in poor health; one hoarding situation yielded 39 cats of which four of the kittens had to have eye enucleations (removal) due to terrible upper respiratory infections. Almost half were infected with FIV. We make every effort to take back our adopted cats and in 2018 we took back several cats that were adopted as far back as 2006. One was returned for inappropriate elimination and MS. FRICK had 7 bladder stones removed surgically. In February 2018, NYX was born into our group but within 2 weeks she developed elimination problems and had to continuously be seen by the vet; she is determined to have an auto immune mediated health issue and has many days of being healthy and then she crashes, then rallies. Shes just over a year old so we are hopeful this will resolve itself. Once healthy, we find them homes. In 2018 we rescued 384 kittens and cats, sterilized 192 males and 188 females and found homes for 392 cats. While we openly take in stray cats and kittens who are in good shape, our focus is on saving those who are most likely not saved without our help. We have built a solid relationship in the community because of our standards of practice, ensuring each of these precious felines receive topnotch medical care provided by our local veterinarians who provide us with reduced fees.
