Young athletes are honed in their abilities to successfully function as part of a group dynamic, yet taught to operate independently to make positive choices which leads to productive adult citizens in society. Sports and especially team sports impacts character development and aids youth in raising self esteem, helps in the application of effective communication skills, teaches development of conflict resolution, and provides the wisdom necessary to work effectively with others by utilizing their individual abilities as part of a team. This past season we sponsored four economically disadvantaged students who were fully scholar shipped and 7 others paid 50 percent of costs.
