These children were homeless, abused, abandoned, neglected or victims of a severe family conflict. Within the program children lived free from harm in a nurturing home. During the 2017-2018 fiscal year, 309 boys and girls attended the state certified K-12 non-public schools. Students received educational, behavioral and therapeutic services. The special education program for youth ages 5 to 22 provides specialized instruction tracks leading to high school completion and college entrance for boys in residence and youth in the community. Academy is a state approved non-public agency that offers educational specialists providing services in the home or school and supporting individualized education program meetings. During the fiscal year, 1,636 students received services in their home, school or hospital, up from 785 students in 2016-2017. 3142607 Mental Health Services were provided to 262 youth in residence and those in the community. Children and their families learned to manage frustration, depression and feelings of isolation. Programming for mental health services includes prevention and early intervention, recovery, resiliency and reintegration, treatment teams and child and family therapeutic services. 484913 Wraparound Services were provided to 48 children transitioning from foster care to the family home and those in jeopardy of placement as well as to their family members. Services are provided in their home/community to strengthen the family. The program engages the family as its members identify their own needs and create methods and a plan to meet those needs.
