Housing and food is provided for the convenience of participation in all program ministries. As this cash value falls far below any normal compensation levels for similar staff in other organizations, there is no need to evaluate whether or not the compensation is excessive. The compensation level is in accordance with the Mission Statement of the JHC Inc and its ministry of service with the poor. Board members and officers serve as uncompensated volunteers.
