The after school program runs during Fall, Winter, and Spring quarters and provides efficient tutoring services to students of all ages in the community that we support. Our goal is to enhance academic achievement through the completion of a student's school work, the furthering of knowledge through learning activities/worksheets, the development of confidence, responsibility, and enjoyment towards learning within an education-focused environment. Volunteer tutors encourage all students' independence, confidence, enjoyment, and responsibilities towards their academics by helping them complete their homework. After homework is completed, extra study time can be used to do worksheets, activities, or reading to help strengthen a student's skills. All tutors are dedicated to building relationships with the students and helping them succeed. In the summer, the summer youth program provides students with the opportunity to maintain a high level of educational engagement while out of school. Curriculum focuses on reading, writing, and math, with work geared towards the students' appropriate levels.
