The games are publicly available free of charge at www.re-mission2.org and the mobile app is available for free via Google Play and iTunes. We are actively working on marketing efforts to disseminate the learnings of Re-Mission to a wide audience. Hopelab continued to explore behavioral interventions for adolescents and young adult (AYA) cancer patients and survivors. In development is a chatbot that promotes psychological resilience by empowering young adults to direct their own care as they leave treatment and begin a new life beyond cancer. The intervention teaches 7 positive psychology skills in the hopes of decreasing stress and anxiety and increasing positive emotions. The chatbot is being developed and tested on Facebook messenger. 2846818 Program activities related to the maternal and child health:Hopelab engaged in a partnership with Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP), an evidence-based program empowers first-time mothers living in poverty to successfully change their lives and the lives of their children through evidence-based nurse home visiting. The NFP program boasts outcomes such as 70% reduction in pre-term births for smokers, 48% reduction in child abuse and neglect, and 67% reduction in behavioral and intellectual problems at age six. The goal of this collaborative project is to allow this program to better meet the needs of today's "digital native" teen / young adult mother, to improve program engagement and retention, and help the NFP program reach even more moms. Hopelab continued our work developing a digital platform focused on helping moms in the NFP program set and achieve goals. Product development, usability and efficacy testing on this app will continue through 2019. 2964609 Program activities related to improving the mental and emotional well-being of teens:Hopelab continued to investigate the nature of resilience and its role in supporting both psychological well-being and physical health of young adults. In 2018 we began design research work on college campuses with young people to understand what peer connection looks like in their real-world experience. We spent time surveying research literature and found support that loneliness is impacting Generation Z at exponential rates. In fact, Gen Z is one of the loneliest generations to date. The health impacts include higher depressive symptoms, poorer sleep quality, heighted risk of suicide and self-harm behavior. We engaged in a partnership with Grit Digital Health, an expert in college campus outreach, to design an intervention to help students achieve meaningful social connections.
