TWG did a feasibility survey and assisted in creating the "Endowment" campaign committee. CCLC paid a fixed fee for the contract that started in 2017 and ended in early 2018. The fundraising campaign will occur in 2019. Form 990, Page 2, Part III, Line 1 Casa Cornelia Law Center (CCLC) provides a bridge to justice for people who come to the US from around the world seeking safe refuge. As a 501(c)(3) public interest law firm, the mission of CCLC is to provide quality pro bono legal services to victims of human & civil rights violations, and to educate others regarding the impact of immigration law and policy on the community and the public good. CCLC has a primary commitment to the indigent within the immigrant community in Southern California. Form 990, Page 2, Part III 4a Casa Cornelia Law Center (CCLC) provides free legal services to San Diego's most vulnerable residents, indigent immigrants with legitimate claims to immigration relief. We focused on 3 main areas in 2018: (1)Unaccompanied children (those detained by immigration authorities as well as non-detained children identified in the community), (2)Victims of domestic violence, Human trafficking, & other serious crimes, and (3)Asylum seekers who have fled to U.S. due to persecution or torture. In 2018 CCLC again met with a significant number of clients, largely as a result of the growing number of asylum seekers and unaccompanied children entering the United States fleeing extreme violence and abuse in their home countries. In 2018, CCLC responded to 2,287 individuals from 64 nations speaking 49 languages. Not included in the expenses is the significant value of volunteer services in the amount of $679,352.
