All grantees sign an MOU detailing program requirements and are required to complete a final impact report. Per the MOU, there are specific expenses they can incur based upon the budget, but others specifically unallowed (certain salaries, long-term expenses not associated with the service project, a limited percentage devoted to food and T-shirts or other such marketing items). Part VI, Section B, Line 11b This form is reviewed and approved by the President & CEO, and is shared with the Board of Directors via e-mail. Part VI, Section B, Line 12c Each director and officer is required to review a copy of the conflict of interest policy annually or upon election to the board, which requires each person to disclose any relationships, positions or circumstances in which he or she believes could contribute to a conflict. Following full disclosure of a possible conflict of interest, the Board of Directors shall determine whether a conflict of interest exists and, if so the Board shall vote to authorize or reject the transaction or take any other action deemed necessary to address the conflict and protect YSA's best interests.
