In addition, CNA completed a perimeter fence for Nimal Chyat Basic school in Brichet. 285 0 Collected hiking boots for our Shoes for Sherpas program. This program has distributed over 3000 pairs of hiking boots and running shoes to Nepali porters and villagers. Collection sites are set up at a few locations in metro Denver. Footwear that was transported to Nepal in 2019 by a volunteer was unfortunately confiscated at the airport. We are now focusing on developing a partnership with a footwear manufacturer so that we can provide new shoes or boots to Nepali porters and villagers. We do not anticipate any issues with bringing new footwear into Nepal. 0 14180 Women's Health Camp: Virtually no money was spent on this project, but planning and fundraising for the health camp was our main focus in 2019. We decided on a Nepali NGO to run the health camp, and signed a contract with them in December 2019. We also started locating Nepali physicians and nurses to staff the health camp. We created equipment, medication, and supplies checklists and the local NGO identified suppliers for everything that will be purchased in-country. Made preparations for a women's health camp to be held in Khaniyabas Municipality (Dhading District of Nepal) in early 2020. This involved consultations with local political leaders and health authorities. It also involved collecting statistics regarding the number of women living in each former Village Development Committee (VDC) in Khaniyabas, how many are married (proxy for child bearing age), etc. Also inspected the health post in Darkha to understand its capabilities for a health camp. Investigated modes of transportation for doctors and nurses. Signed agreement with Nepali NGO ROYM-Nepal to run the health camp. ROYM had numerous discussions with local political authorities. Payment to ROYM was not made until January 2020. Had difficulty with local employee and decided to withhold compensation until we could meet with him in person at the health camp in 2020. 2. Completed perimeter fence at Nimal Chyat School ($110). 3. The treasurer was occupied at her full time job at a hospital during the COVID crisis in March and April, causing her to be behind in her duties at the nonprofit, and was not prepared to submit by the extended deadline on July 15, 2020.
