<PrimaryExemptPurposeTxt>The mission of KidCare International, a relationship-based, humanitarian aid organization, is to equip and empower desperately disadvantaged children to lead lives of purpose, service, and leadership through sustainable programs and strategic partnerships.</PrimaryExemptPurposeTxt>

<DescriptionProgramSrvcAccomTxt>International Programs -Sponsor A Child - We believe...you can change the world - one child at a time.Sponsor a Child for $30.00 a month and bring hope and strength to a child in need. A child of your choice will receive help with their specific need for: food, clothing, books, and educational fees.KidCare International works with children in schools & orphanages in Russia, Tanzania, South Africa, and Sri Lanka - children who are uncertain of their next meal, spend cold nights on a street looking for shelter, and want a better tomorrow but can't pay the tuition/uniform/book fees for a basic public education to get their dream.Orphanage Support - Help Provide a Refuge for Orphans and Abandoned Children for $30 a month.- A child loses a parent to an AIDS-related illness every 14 seconds.- Devastated by grief and the loss of their parents, children are exposed to extreme poverty. KidCare International provides daily food, shelter, education and comfort to AIDS orphans and other vulnerable children.- Because orphanages are not listed as best practices in the National Plan of many of the countries in which we work, these are children at the mercy of small bits of funding. Plainly speaking, they have fallen through the bureaucratic grant funding cracks and depend on the generosity of organizations like KidCare International who will look past unrealistic governmental policies and into their eyes.- These children exist, they are not going away, and their numbers are growing.- Over 14 million children have lost one or both parents to AIDS. The numbers are predicted to double in 10 years if there isn't a solution.Cow, Chicken, Garden Projects -One of the most creative but logical and time-proven ways to provide food and healthy diet for vulnerable children in Africa is the cow, chicken, and garden projects. The idea is to give a source of food while teaching children life-sustaining ethics rather than short-term relief. While some orphanages and care centers are located in the city and are not coducive to this type of enterprise, others are ideally situated in rural sites perfect for agricultural endeavors. With the Cow Project, Chicken Project, and Garden Project, the children learn basic techniques and responsibilities of farming and free enterprise. After the dietary needs of the children are met, excess milk, eggs, poultry, and vegetables are sold at the marketplace, offering additional training and experience in micro-business and basic financing.A heifer calf can be purchased for $400 to $650 and within a year can be generating a modest supply of dairy commodities.</DescriptionProgramSrvcAccomTxt>

<DescriptionProgramSrvcAccomTxt>Domestic Programs - KidPaks - Packing KidPaks is an ongoing activity that involves collecting small toys, school supplies, and hygiene products, and putting them in backpacks. Once assembled they are distributed to children in your own backyard and around the world.Compiling KidPaks has become a much-anticipated project for churches, businesses, and grade school students. Teachers enthusiastically endorse KidPaks as the program teaches children the importance of giving to others.Hundreds of KidPaks are placed in the hands of grateful children each year. The festivities include a special appearance of Santa, games and refreshments. Schools partnering with KidCare International for this event provide us with lists of children.Additionally, KidCare International partners with the House of Ruth in Pomona and the Claremont Club to help local children.Food Bank - KidCare International's Food Bank serves as a place of Compassion, Action, Resources, and Empowerment for Families. KidCare International's Food Bank feeds more than 9,000 people each year. We believe...loving acts of compassion generate mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual wholeness. An alarming 22% of young children in America live in poverty. As the financial challenges to provide for a family in the United States grows due to increased gasoline, food, and housing prices, KidCare's Food Bank continues to give, without charge, critical supplies such as food, baby formula, brand new clothing, diapers, blankets, household and personal care items, and toys to needy families.</DescriptionProgramSrvcAccomTxt>
