In April 2019, FJE hosted its first learning tour in Fort Meyers and Immokalee, Florida. The event was attended by 17 funders. In 2019, DDP offered several webinars for funders focused on opportunity zones, community land trusts, and equitable development. IRSG, NFG's newest program, collaborated with Engage New York to organize a New York State Rural Equity Meeting in October 2019. This meeting brought together funders interested in exploring the New York State rural landscape and how to build an action agenda to promote equity in communities across the state. Rural grantmakers and organizing groups discussed how to shift policy and build a new economy that is supported by philanthropy. 277511 Philanthropy Forward (PF). 2019 saw the conclusion of our inaugural PF fellowship for foundation CEOs. Learnings from our first Philanthropy Forward revealed that cohort members were beginning to identify a common purpose for becoming a financial engine for social change and emerged committed to keeping the momentum going with alumni activities and further collaborations towards this goal.
