In 2019, we worked with advocacy coalitions in four states, conducting on average three strategic planning and education sessions in each state, for a total of 12 sessions, each with 20 to 30 participants. The sessions included a practicum so that participants could adapt the curriculum and conduct trainings for their local field offices. In addition, we worked with three national networks, conducting sessions that reached hundreds of leaders, developing briefing papers, and co-developing curriculum materials. In June of 2019 we co-hosted a week long training series that brought together 40 advocacy leaders from across the country. GPP receives more than 10% of its support from public sources. It is actively engaged in attracting additional public support on an ongoing basis. It has a representative governing board. It makes its programs broadly available. As the Organization is not a membership organization the fifth factor is not applicable. Percentage of public support. GPPs public support is 26%, substantially above the 10% facts and circumstances threshold. GPP already attracts meaningful public support, intends to be publicly supported, and is actively engaged in activities that are intended to attract new and additional public or governmental support on a continuous basis. Additionally, a large majority of GPPs excess contributions consist of amounts raised through the Ford Foundation as part of a 4-year grant. GPP accounted for the 4-year contribution in the 2019 reports as is best practice in an accrual-based accounting system. GPP expects its public support % to increase when those initial amounts are not included in the calculation. Sources of support.
