<Desc>Scholarships. East Valley Womens League awarded 9,100 in Scholarships in 2019. The scholarships are awarded based on financial need, community service, and academic performance to students attending Arizona universities and community colleges. Many single, working mothers rely on these funds to pursue their dreams of a college education. Our Anything is Possible Scholarship, as well as our Over the Moon Scholarship which is given in collaboration with the family of Stephanie Graham, are awarded to female students who exhibit service to the community, participate in extracurricular activities, demonstrate financial need and have a minimum grade point average of 2.5. Scholarships awarded through the Maricopa Community Colleges Foundation are awarded to single mothers of any age who maintain a 2.8 GPA and demonstrate financial need. In addition, through our scholarship endowment at Arizona State University, an additional three scholarships were awarded during the year. EVWL has given more than 230,000 in scholarships over the years. 9 volunteers provide time for this program</Desc>
