India - Emergency Relief, Food Security and Orphans Support: This initiative was implemented in the rural and underserved areas of the Sates of Bihar and Jammu and Kashmir in India. The program successfully delivered: 1. Much needed food parcels and hygiene supplies (adequate for meeting the family needs for one month) to extremely poor and at risk families affected by the state wide lockdown imposed by the Indian authorities since August 05, 2019. The needs of the widows, pregnant women, elderly and disabled were especially taken into account. The intervention supported around 1000 poor and vulnerable persons. 2. Orphans Support: A total of 25 orphan children - both boys and girls were enrolled from the rural areas of Bihar state and provided with monthly financial assistance to meet their food, education and healthcare needs. 3. During the Islamic festival of Eidul Adha, fresh meat parcels distributed to the families in need in the rural areas of Bihar; 3500 beneficiaries. 24150 X 0 Kenya - Integrated Development Project: Implemented in Kamuthe & Nanighi locations in Fafi Sub County of Garissa, Kenya, which is known for hosting millions of Somali Refugees and currently facing a severe drought, will benefit around 4,000 people. The goal of the project is to ensure that community have equitable and sustainable access to safe water and sanitation services through capacity building of Community Water users Associations, repair and rehabilitation of water points, hygiene promotion, gender equality and gender based violence prevention (GBV) and introduction of alternative livelihood sources to improve food security and wellbeing. 23000 X 0 Pakistan - Water Supply, Emergency Relief and Orphans Support: 1. With a view to increase the poor communities' access to safe drinking water, deep water wells and water hand pumps were installed in Thatta district of Sindh, which benefitted around 7400 people. 2. Orphans Support program provided monthly financial stipend to 35 children from extremely poor households and helped meat their food, clothing, education and healthcare needs. The project organizes orientation sessions for the family members/caregivers of these children on child protection. 3. During the holy festival of Eidul Adha, fresh meat parcels were delivered to the families in need in the rural areas of Sindh province with around 2400 beneficiaries. 4. In the earthquake affected area of District Mirpur AJ&K, distributed winterization kits to save them from extremely cold winter; around 500 beneficiaries.
