These are reviewed at both the regional and national levels by a Regional Program Officer and National Country Program Manager. Financial processes are managed by our in-country partner and audited by the Regional Program Officer and Regional Director, the accounting team, and ultimately by the President, Board, and independent auditors. Part I, line 3: The organization accounts for foreign expenditures in accordance with the accrual basis of accounting. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 11b Form 990 is prepared by an independent CPA firm and reviewed in detail by the organization's President. The reviewed Form 990 is then provided to the board of directors prior to filing with the IRS. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 12c The organization requires all officers and board members to annually complete and sign a conflict of interest questionnaire. The board is responsible for reviewing the signed statements and ensuring interested persons are in compliance with the conflict of interest policy. Should any potential conflicts of interest be disclosed, the board member or officer would be asked to refrain from participation in the deliberation or decision with regard to matters affected by the relationships. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 15 The Board of Directors and Finance Committee oversee the process of setting the compensation of the President and other officers of the organization using comparability data of the compensation of similar organizations. The Board also documents the compensation approval process.
