Part IV, Section D, Line 1 When we provide cash or 'in-kind' support to other nonprofits, we identify ourselves as a 501(c)(3), provide our federal EIN and a letter describing the gift or cash we are contributing. We provide copies of our 990 filings upon request. Part IV, Section D, Line 2 No members of our board or staff were appointed by supported organizations. Our cash and in-kind support has been distributed to more than twenty five different nonprofits throughout the years, all of whom are specifically arts and education related programs. See a partial listing in the following addenda. We do not seek to influence their use of our cash contributions nor do we maintain a continuous relationship. Part IV, Section D, Line 3 Organizations to whom we have provided support did not effect our income, assets, nor influence the distribution of funds. Part IV, Section E, Line 2a For each year of our existence net income derived from the sale of assets donated to Pacific Marine were distributed to organizations we support. In some cases, specific 'in-kind' support of small vessels, equipment, etc. was provided to supported organizations. Part IV, Section E, Line 2b The nonprofit organizations whom we have supported do not derive their sole support from us, they also maintain their programs with additional public and private support. Part IV, Section E, Line 2a Pacific Marine Foundation has had more than 20 years of nonprofit activity in the Northwest and Seattle area. We are a comparatively small organization, specifically organized and chartered to provide cash funding and other support only to other federally chartered '501' nonprofit arts and education programs. We accomplish this goal by raising funds through boat donations. The donated assets we receive are meticulously repaired and restored, sometimes at considerable expense to us, then sold to create funds for distribution, and for our own operating expenses. At any time we have an inventory of recreational vessels awaiting sale at market value. We contribute cash and/or provide 'in-kind' equipment and vessels to other nonprofit organizations valued at a rate of at least 10 - 15% of our gross annual receipts - as stipulated by IRS standards - and have done so for each of the past twenty years.
