(1) Share: Research has shown that millions of people search the internet every day for answers to spiritual questions or are willing to respond to a message about God, spiritual guidance and hope. Global Media Outreach is using this spiritual interest to bring the Good News of Jesus to people through technology. In Fiscal Year 2020, Global Media Outreach saw almost 18 million indicated decisions for Christ. That same year, the gospel was presented to over 131 million people through more than 260 different websites globally.(2) Grow: People who come into contact with Global Media Outreach have the chance to hear the Gospel, download a Bible and learn more about how to walk in Christian faith. Global Media Outreach disciples these individuals with online resources available through websites, mobile apps, social media, and email. Whether someone has just accepted Christ, rededicated their life to God or still has questions, Global Media Outreach and its volunteers provide prayer, guidance and discipleship.(3) Connect: Through the work of 7 language teams scattered around the world bringing cultural knowledge to the top twelve global Internet languages, Global Media Outreach has partnerships with churches and ministries in many countries. These language teams are hubs of the ministry in critically important areas, including the Muslim world, China and India. In addition, each person has an opportunity to engage in a spiritual discussion with one of Global Media Outreach's Online Missionaries through a secure and proprietary communication system that provides anonymous intimacy.As a result of these partnerships and the work of Online Missionaries, people are connected with Christian communities. The primary means of reaching worldwide populations is through the placement of advertisements, the primary program service expense, on numerous websites in numerous languages. Because of the mobility and diversity of the populations reached, it is not possible to correlate specific expenses incurred with a specific geographic region. For example, the Spanish language advertisements are primarily reaching Spanish speaking people in Central and South America while populations in regions of North America and Sub-Saharan Africa are responding primarily to English language advertisements. Once a person has responded to an advertisement by clicking the link on the website, the person is redirected to Global Media Outreach's own website which is maintained in the United States. Should a respondent want additional contact with a missionary, the communication takes place through Global Media Outreach's email server which is also located in the United States. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 12c The Organization regularly monitors its compliance with the conflict of interest policy by allowing an interested person to make a presentation at a governing board or committee meeting. Claims are investigated and appropriate action is taken. Additionally, conflict of interest policy disclosures are completed and signed by board members and officers on an annual basis. The disclosures are reviewed by the CFO. The Chairman of the Finance Committee reviews the CFO's annual disclosure. Should any potential conflicts of interest be disclosed, the board member or officer would be asked to refrain from participation in any deliberation or decision with regard to matters affected by the relationship. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 15 On an annual basis, GMO uses Salary.com as well as Form 990s from 4 to 6 simliar sized ministries to benchmark compensation. Salaries for the Chairman/CEO, President, and CFO were approved by the Board, which was properly documented in the board minutes.
