The county government has not managed to adequately address their nutritional and educational needs as a result of which the community resolved to supplement the efforts of the government. It was clear to the community that a deliberate and specific program that could address and meet the needs of the disadvantaged and vulnerable children within the community was needed, hence the establishment of St James Community Orphans school. Caring Hands Foundation provided $2500 towards teachers' salary for running the school. 2500 X 0 Center for Empowerment and Development of Women: The grant was towards free treatment of Covid patients in Hyderabad, India. Starting mid-May, Sri Sri Holistic Hospital opened a 50-bed free Covid-19 center for treatment of mild cases or patients in recovery that needed supplemental oxygen. In June, Covid-19 patients started getting admitted with more serious symptoms that prompted the hospital to dedicate 20 beds to underprivileged patients for free treatment.Sri Sri Holistic Hospital used the US $25,100 grant from Caring Hands to provide free/subsidized treatment to underprivileged patients in ICU, with black fungus infections as well as patients in the free Covid-19 care center. 25100 X 0 Sunnyvale Homeless Shelter: Coordinated preparation and delivery of about 150 person care kits (tooth brush, paste, toiletries, etc.) every two weeks.
