Footwear that was transported to Nepal in 2019 by a volunteer was unfortunately confiscated at the airport. We are now focusing on developing a partnership with a footwear manufacturer so that we can provide new shoes or boots to Nepali porters and villagers. We do not anticipate any issues with bringing new footwear into Nepal. $39.58 was spent while creating a video to announce a new partnership with a hiking boot manufacturer. Unfortunately, due to COVID, we were not able to do a boot distribution in the Solokhumbu that had been scheduled for May 2020, and the partnership is currently on hold. 33733 27763 24217 Women's Health Camp: Health camps were held in three locations within Khaniyabas municipality in Dhading District in late February 2020. We treated just over 1,000 individuals in Jharlang, Darkha, and Satyadevi. Ninety-one women were identified as needing followup care, including biopsies and second opinions regarding surgeries. Unfortunately, the local NGO we are partnering with has been unable to make progress due to COVID lockdowns and hesitancy of gynecologists traveling outside the Kathmandu Valley.
