She also reviews the accounts tracking the use of funds at the nunneries in India. The organization in India provides quarterly statements of accounts and copies of its annual filing to the Indian government of funds received from abroad. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b The Board Chair reviews the 990 with the volunteer preparer. After review, the Board Chair sends copies to all other Board members and requests that they reply back to her with any feedback or questions. After any issues raised have been resolved, the form is signed and submitted to the IRS. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c The organization requires each Board member and key employees to disclose annually any conflicts of interest. The organization avoids engaging in any conflicts of interest, even if disclosed, as a matter of best practices. Because this is not a highly compensated position, the Board sets the pay rate based on similar positions in the geographic area. The Board members review and update the executive director's compensation at the annual Board meeting as part of approving the budget.
