Many people return weekly for food, so the unique individuals served was 228. We do not provide monetary support services, so the "grants" are the value of the goods distributed. Before the pandemic, our patrons would "shop" the shelves for the things they need and we would ensure that they stayed within limitations based on household size. The pandemic caused us to change this dramatically. Patrons now shop from a list that they are handed in the parking lot and their food is delivered to their car. This is to ensure their safety and the safety of our volunteers, while still allowing them a sense of normalcy. 5677 5677 0 Holiday Box Program - Distributed 6,812 meals to 137 individuals throughout our service area for Thanksgiving. The Christmas/year-end meals are provided by Capital Region Food Program for all towns we service, except for Belmont, so we cover Belmont ourselves. The household must reside in our service area, and either must already receive a government service or qualify based on income levels for the household. The amount of assistance is limited by household size. Any items distributed are listed on the intake sheet and cross-referenced against the inventory to determine the value of goods distributed. This also meant that they would not have to shop in a store as often, decreasing their exposure risks. We also began buying some household items, such as food storage bags and bath tissue.
