AGA recognizes its cultural activities as strategies that promote neighborhood commercial revitalization. AGAs neighborhood activities in 2020 provided healthy food alternatives to low-income senior communities and much desired holiday meals to persons living well below the poverty line in the zip code 78207 the poorest neighborhood in the City of San Antonio. Since its inception, AGA has provided housing services including First-Time Homebuyer education classes and credit repair programs. In 2020, AGA continued to manage low-income First-Time Homebuyer down payment assistance mortgages. In 2020 AGA continued its management of three housing communities providing housing for over 150 senior households. And in 2020, AGA self-managed its Healthy Foods Initiative funded by Woodforest National Bank.
