NOMW TRAINING CENTER NOMW Training Center serves as an education, training, advocacy, and counseling center, offering resources to victims and survivors of human trafficking and domestic violence. Students participate in NOMW's 4E's Training "Educate, Equip, Engage & Empower" which is a 3-day training on combatting domestic violence and human trafficking. Training is tailored for public and private sectors including faith-based organizations. Enrollees will meet service providers and representatives from government agencies to create the collaborations needed to have maximum impact in our city.NOMW YOUTH COUNCILNOMW Youth Council exists to provide support and mentorship to young people who are susceptible to or are victims of trafficking and violence of all kinds including domestic violence. With the increase of teen dating violence, mental health challenges, and suicides among youth, the ongoing support to youth is critical to slow the progression of trafficked victims and those subjected to violence. Youth Council Meetings occur every 2nd Thursday from 4 pm - 6 pm and every 2nd Saturday from 10 am -noon. FAMILY-SURVIVOR ADVOCATE SUPPORT GROUPNOMW Family-Survivor Advocate Support Group provides support to families of victims and survivors of human trafficking and domestic violence. NOW understands that parents, guardians, and family members need support as well as the victims and survivors. We find that all suffer but together they can heal if provided the proper trauma-informed care and guidance.The group meets every 3rd Sunday from 3pm - 4pm.HIGHPOINTEHigHPointe exists to address the housing problem in New York. HigHPointe will be comprised of shelters (HigHPointe Nowand HigHPointe Safe Haven) and residences (HigHPointe Residences). Their shelter component will address issues ofhomelessness in NYC while their residences will offer transitional and permanent housing. HigHPointe Residences is a multi-tier housing model providing comprehensive service-enriched residences for victims and survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence, and other vulnerable populations. SAFE HAVEN NETWORKSafe Haven Network is the faith community component of NOMW where houses of worship participate in the 4E'sTrainings "Educate, Equip, Engage & Empower" tailored for faith-based entities to serve as safe havens for victims and survivors of human trafficking and domestic violence. To date, over 300 houses of worship are part of the network. ANNUAL NATIONAL CONFERENCESNOMW annual conferences bring together survivors, advocates, concerned citizens, faith-based groups, and experts from federal, state, and city to strategize and exchange best practices in combatting human trafficking and domestic violence in our nation and world. Over 3,000 have attended NOMW's national conferences since its inception.
