We operate an Urban Farm and 2 community gardens in North Philadelphia, through which we provide dozens of local families with access to fresh produce. in 2020 we produced a range of seasonal vegetables including tomatoes, spinach, okra, collards, kale, peppers, onion, garlic, lettuce, and medicina lherbs with and for our local community. We also are committed to Sustainable Development and installed a solar energy system, greenhouse, and mobile refrigerator at our farm and ran a Community Landcare contract through which we maintained 150 vacant lots in our neighborhood during the spring. 79562 85352 Community Curation - Urban Creators are committed to honoring the cultural legacy of our community, creating opportunities for our community to organize and build collective equity, and supporting the emergence of young artists and creators. In 2020, Covid-19 limited our ability to host public events, but we did organize a Mobile Market as a way of making Fresh Food, PPE, adnd other critical reesources accessibe throughout our community. Starting in June, we ran a total of 106 Markets at 7 key locations throughout North Philadelphia where we distributed 61,000 pounds of produce, 32,310 fresh meals, 21,300 diapers, 94,872 feminine hygiene products, 350 books, winter clothes, and hundreds of PPE items. 6072 7500 Education - Urban Creators are committed to supporting the growth and development of young community leaders, growers, and social entrepeneurs. Due to constraints caused by Covid-19 we were not able to run as many yoith programs as we normally do, but we were still able to offer three partner organizations access to our outdoor space to run their own youth programs, who collectively offered jobs and leadership developmemt opportunities for 21 Philadelphia youth.
