This is a legal proceeding that utility companies have to initiate whenever they want to raise rates, and it is the only time when members of the public have the ability to influence how RG&E's manages our energy system and spends ratepayer dollars. (Continued on Schedule O)We have had one staff person working about 20 hours/week on this project, which is now in the final phase. The outcomes have been largely positive from a climate perspective, but we are opposing the electric portion of the case because we believe that the company's proposal places a disproportionate burden on low-income ratepayers at a time when they can least afford it (due to COVID-19).This project is funded by a private foundation. 15116 Rochester United for Sustainable Healthy Housing is a project funded by the NYS DEC with the goal of helping renters improve the efficiency of their homes and engage in advocacy for affordable clean energy.
