The goal of the Azalea Project is to reduce risk-taking behavior in substance abusing pregnant and parenting women. The Azalea Project provides outreach, education and support services to substance-using pregnant women. The intensive service provision, interventions, and supervision are provided by the program for a period up to 6 months or more, as requested and/or needed by the family, individual, and/or referral source. In addition, ITR will address underlying issues that sometimes are the precipitating factors in the symptomatic behaviors that could bring the family to the attention of the child welfare, family, criminal, and/or delinquency court system.
