Upon completion of the museum construction, the Organization will hold its collections for public exhibition, education, and research rather than for financial gain. It protects, cares for, preserves, and keeps its collections unencumbered, subject to a policy that requires proceeds from sales of these items to be used to purchase additional collection items. Part III, Line 4: The Organization's collection items include historical skydiving-related items, which help to educate the public and promote skydiving. Part X, Line 2: Management evaluated the organization's tax positions and concluded that its financial statements do not contain any uncertain tax positions. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 11b A copy of the Form 990 is first reviewed and approved by the Museum Administrator. Upon Museum Administrator's approval, it is forwarded to the Board of Trustees, or an approved representative of the Board of Trustees, to review the Form 990 prior to submission. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 12c Each trustee and officer is required to review a copy of the conflict of interest policy, which requires each person to disclose any relationships, positions or circumstances in which he or she believes could contribute to a conflict. Following full disclosure of a possible conflict of interest, the Board of Trustees shall determine whether a conflict of interest exists and, if so the Board shall vote to authorize or reject the transaction or take any other action deemed necessary to address the conflict and protect the Museum's best interests. Form 990, Part VI, Section C, line 18 The Museum makes its Form 1023 available upon request. The Museum makes available a public disclosure copy of its Federal Form 990 upon request and on Guidestar. Form 990, Part VI, Section C, line 19 The governing documents, conflict of interest policy and financial statements are made available to the public upon request only. Form 990, Part XII, Line 2c: The Board of Trustees assumes responsibility for oversight of the audit, including selection of independent accountant. This process is consistent with the prior year.
