The School has over 300 students. The students come from the impoverished neighborhood that is located next to the Organization's property. The school has 23 teachers and is considered excellent. The school only goes through middle school. The organization provides scholarships for qualified middle school graduates to pursue high school in other area of the community. The onsite children's home operation was discontinued during the later part of this fiscal year. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 6 The organization does have members. Mainly they are the directors and their spouses. and such other members as the Board of Directors names. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7a The members do elect the directors. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b The completed draft Form 990 is emailed to all of the directors by the Board Treasurer and asked to review the document. They are directed to reply to all directors comments , notations of errors, omissions etc. The Treasurer will address the issues and ask for an email confirmation as approval to submit the completed form to the IRS. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c All directors and volunteers pay their own travel and lodging expenses in connection with all activities related to the Organization. If ever it was intended to pay or reimburse an officer, Director or other volunteer for such activities, it would need approval of the Board of Directors. Issues related to this would be dealt with at the annual Board of Directors meeting or special called meeting if necessary. Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19 The Organization files a copy its filed Form 990 as part of its annual requirement as a charitable entity in the State of Florida. As a result anyone can view the 990 by going to the Sate of Florida on line site.
