This season the Civic Orchestra welcomed Ken-David Masur as its new principal conductor and performed five concerts at Symphony Center, including a benefit performance to celebrate the ensemble's centennial, featuring Masur and cellist Yo-Yo Ma. The ensemble also performed a community concert at South Shore Cultural Center, and Civic musicians performed at 10 Chicago Public Schools (CPS) and Fourth Presbyterian Church during the sixth annual Bach Marathon.
