The Organization has a program for the annual solicitation of funds from our existing member companies, organizes activities for expanded membership, and regularly identifies potential donor and funding opportunities from US and international foundations and governments... The Organization's support comes from a number of unrelated donors; and members of the public, such as stakeholders in the Southeast US and BC, Canada, participate in the programs including field activities. Additionally, partner NGO experts participate in our forums for discussing forest conservation and responsible sourcing, like the SE Member Event in Louisiana in 2018... The Organization maintains a definitive program for accomplishing its charitable work. The charitable work is work related to the Organization's purpose - protecting forests, improving human rights. TFT has 5-year, and 3-year strategies and a number of ongoing programs related to identifying and stopping deforestation in global supply chains, improving global practices around labour rights, monitoring carbon in forests and agriculture lands, and respecting land rights of local communities and indigenous peoples. As part of these there are action plans, allocated staff, and budgets... In addition, the work that TFT does is made available to the public. Education of the public takes place through forums, events, TFT's website, and webinars for the public. Examples of public education and dissemination include: Webinars organized or co-organized by TFT for a diverse range of organizations and companies (beyond just the member companies), organization of events for members about our work and common challenges that include the participation of NGOs and non-members, participation in public events and forums such as the Innovation Forum, participation in classes at local universities, and publication of material about health landscapes drafted by TFT staff... Regarding Membership, the solicitation of members is designed to enroll a substantial number of companies. The solicitation of members through outreach activities such as participation in public forums, participation in Global WA, and dissemination of information about membership via the Internet are designed to reach and enroll a substantial number of companies in the sectors and industries that TFT works with. The membership dues are affordable and accessible for the corporations. The membership fee varies on a sliding scale according to the company's revenue in order for it to be reasonable and affordable for companies. In addition, the activities of the organization are likely to appeal to corporations with broad common interests in making and working towards far-reaching commitments to improve the respect for people and nature in major global supply chains.
