All programming from March through the end of the year was cancelled due to Covid 19, and Quail Springs began to host virtual farm tours and share educational content through videos. More than 100 people participated in our virtual farm tours in 2020, and our educational videos were shared with an audience of more than 10,000 people through social media. We mistakenly thought that this year's filing deadline would be the same as last year's filing deadline (July 15), and we planned to file an extension this year before the deadline. We only last week discovered that the deadline for filing this year was May 17, and therefore had already passed. We did everything we could to submit this filing as soon as possible, once we realized that the deadline had passed. As a nonprofit with a tight budget, we sincerely hope that the IRS will consider waiving the late penalties in this case. Thank you for your consideration.
