Several components are used to determine compensation:Outcome of performance reviewSalary range for positionComparable compensation for peer positions and agencies within the community as published annually through a survey conducted by a local firm for the Tulsa Area United Way Comparable compensation for peer positions and agencies as published through a survey conducted by CAN's national accrediting organization (the National Children's Alliance)The Executive Committee of CAN's Board of Directors is responsible for conducting the annual performance and compensation review of the Executive Director. For all other employees, the position's supervisor is responsible for conducting the annual performance review and recommending compensation to the Executive Director. The Executive Director gives final approval for the compensation of all other employees.All employee compensation is included in the agency's annual budget which is reviewed by CAN's finance committee. The Finance Committee makes final recommendation to the Board for the approval of the annual budget.
