To Whom It May Concern: Due to the unprecedented challenges that the COVID-19 pandemic has placed on our institution, we inadvertently failed to submit our automatic extension to move our Form 990 due to date from November 15, 2020 to May 15, 2021. The pandemic has caused us to completely revamp our processes and redefine the way we operate. Our primary focus since the outset of this crisis has been the health and safety of our students and employees. We plan to implement a series of controls to prevent this from happening in the future such as a more robust system of backups along with detailed notifications throughout the year. The process of the Form 990 submission will still be directed by the VP of Business Affairs and the Director of Finance and Budget, but the Controller will be given responsibility to monitor checkpoints and will also participate in the completion of the form.
