We launched informal skate sessions for the Legacy program in April and served 135 skaters across 25 skate parks in 4 boroughs with 6 coaches providing more than 650 weekly informal skate sessions (6 coaches, 2-4 times/week each, for 38 weeks) at skate parks throughout the city, including 30 informal skate sessions and 3 skate events for women/queer/trans skaters over the course of the year. Our Coaches and Director of Programs worked with community members/collectives to produce 18 skate events serving hundreds of skaters in 3 boroughs and Paterson NJ from June through November. Our Social Worker and outside trainers have provided 12 training sessions for coaches and VISTAs. 14175 0 0 VISTA Program: Through a partnership with Up2Us Sports and AmeriCorps, we were able to provide 2 full-time year-round and 2 full-time summer positions in the Volunteers in Service to America Program for local NYC skaters.
