In 2021, its largest program was Chickenshed Players, theater workshops for children and teens of all abilities and backgrounds. Young people with disabilities and those who do not have disabilities work together to create great theatre. In the Spring of 2021, the company produced Fantastical, a multi-media performance devised by the company members who had been confronting the COVID pandemic. The second production was the first fully staged production for Chickenshed Players, called "T'was the Night, an inclusive musical based on British holiday pantomime. Over 300 audience members watched the shows performed by 50 individuals. 24918 0 936 Chickenshed NYC's third program accomplishment in 2021 was the production of Tales (now Adventures) from The Shed, which are immersive shows for preschool age children and their families. The inclusive shows involve puppetry, music, movement, and storytelling. During the first half of 2021, these shows were produced online because of the COVID pandemic. In Fall 2021, the shows were performed live. More than 100 families participated in these shows. 8560 0 0 Chickenshed NYC also created an online program for pre-K programs in the New York City Department of Education. These shows were performed for 5 pre-K centers over six weeks, reaching over 1500 people. 894 0 0 Chickenshed NYC also commenced an online international devised theater program, called One Shed.
