The bookkeeper at the time was assigned to this task. They did not file the extension form before May 15, 2022. This fact was not realized until recently. Appropriate steps were taken by organizational leadership to engage bookkeeping services that can handle the needs of the organization in a timely manner. Also, organizational leadership developed better polices for guiding and managing 990 filing. The mistake of this late filing was inadvertent and unintended. Our intention was to properly file the organization's tax filing and not neglect this important and required duty.
