In our organization the officers are not compensated at all and there are no "key employees" since compensation for our employees is far below $250,000 which is given by the IRS as the threshold for being a key employee. Provisions in the bylaws indicate how conflicts of interest for board members are to be handled. Annual financial statements are included in the annual reports that are mailed to all supporters. Form 990s are provided to the public upon request.
