However, the executive director is reviewed annually. The compensation is determined by looking at salary surveys in the area of similar size non-profits as well as at 990s of similar organizations nationwide. The contract is then approved by the full board of directors. All other compensation for employees is approved at the time the annual budget is approved and accepted by the board of directors.
