The majority of the charitable activities are programs and exhibits through the Powers Art Center. In 2021, the Powers Art Center was open to the public year-round, with public hours and designated group tours days. Much of the Powers Art Center highlights the life work of Jasper Johns, but also showcases a rotating exhibit of other artists from the esteemed former collection of John and Kimiko Powers. The foundation continues to acquire important works produced by Jasper Johns. To accompany the viewing of art, the Powers Art Center also supports an extensive library for studying modern art and runs educational videos about modern art. The Powers Art Center is free to the public for viewings and hosts field trips for elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, and the local community college. In addition to hosting school and student groups, the Ryobi Foundation hosted museum and art groups from a variety of institutions with the hope of creating stronger collaboration and making the collection available more widely. Examples of institutions visiting in 2021 included the Whitney Museum in New York, Anderson Ranch, the Denver Museum, the Aspen Art Museum, and the Aspen Community Foundation. During the summer of 2021, the Ryobi Foundation launched a children's art program on Thursdays and the last Saturday of the month. Given the success of the program, the foundation extended the last Saturday events into the Fall. The Ryobi Foundation also launched a formal program working with art teachers in the Roaring Fork Valley to provide access and educational material to teachers and schools. During 2021, the Ryobi Foundation loaned several works of art from its Jasper Johns collection for an exhibit at the Whitney Museum. Members of the foundation attended outreach events for the opening of the exhibit to promote interest in Jasper Johns and the Powers Art Center.
