Our mission is to offer safe and affordable medication to Minnesotans in need, provide continuity of care and reduce waste by redistributing unused medications. 0 0 22113 46914 RoundtableRx is a volunteer-run licensed wholesale pharmacy with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy. The organization functions as the sole state-created medical repository. The repository is run by licensed pharmacists, pharmacy interns, and other skilled volunteers. The medication program receives prescription medication surplus from long-term care facility residents, inspects the medication, inventories the medication, and distributes to individuals struggling to afford their medication. The program reduces the amount of disposed of medication resulting in a positive impact on the environment. The program started the second half of 2020, building its infrastructure, developing its business operations, governance and finances. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c The organization's conflict of interest policy applies to all board members, officers, staff members, and members of a board committee with board-delegated powers as well as their immediate family members, including spouse or equivalent, children, and parents, and anyone who can influence the actions of the organization or has proprietary information concerning the organization. Disclosure in the organization should be made to the board of directors or board committee. The Board or the duly constituted committee will then determine if a conflict of interest exists the individual for which the conflict lies will be excluded from all discussion and voting on any transaction involving the matter. Form 990, Part IX, Line 11g Contract Labor hired to setup repository The Minnesota Medication Repository Program was formed in June of 2020 by a student volunteer in the University of Minnesota's Pharmacy school, and was the primary point of contact for all activities and initiatives during most of the organization's first year of operations. The organization's initial focus was developing a framework for the drug repository mission and did not have the internal experience to contemplate the various administrative and compliance matters required during that period. However, the organization's governance function is fully functional with an active and engaged board of directors and officers, along with a significant increase in internal staff, and during the 2021 compliance review, it was discovered that the 2020 Form 990 was not timely filed. The organization has sufficient policies and procedures in place to ensure this does not happen again, and that future Form 990 return or extension filings will be timely.
