Prior period net assets restatement: The Organization loaned $3,500,000 to a partnership in Denver, CO during 2015. As of August 31, 2021 the principle of the loan has been fully repaid. The loan carried a simple interest rate of 3.25% which was accrued by the Organization through August 31, 2019, resulting in accrued interest receivable of $456,876 as of August 31, 2020. The Organizations board of directors approved forgiving this interest receivable at the beginning of the current year, retro-active to the end of the prior year. Accordingly, the Organization has recorded a prior year adjustment to decrease both receivables and net assets by $456,876 effective August 31, 2020.
