AP Mexico provides legal training to Mexican prosecutors, investigators, forensic experts, and analysts to improve their ability to work together to investigate and prosecute crime. The programs improve the efficiency, transparency, and accuracy of the Mexican justice system while protecting individual rights. AP Mexico works to foster lines of communication between U.S. and Mexican state Offices of the Attorney General at the line and leadership levels to improve cooperation in the fight against transnational crime. It also educates the Mexican law enforcement community and public on the nature of Mexico's adversarial oral trial system. Finally, it supports INLs goals of collaboration among other Rule of Law grantees to ensure consistency across training programs.
