Though we have received mailed letters from the IRS with a fine for not submitting the 2019 return. We have a copy of the return that we originally submitted, though every time we call the IRS to discuss the mix up, we get the same message saying that the IRS is too busy to take our call at this time and to try another time or another day. Because the IRS will no longer accept mail-in forms, I am submitting this now, online. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b The executive director compiles information and completes the form Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19 upon request 2019's 990 document was sent to the IRS in the mail in July 2020. This was the first time that we sent our 990 in the mail and we were unaware of any requirement to file online. I saved a copy of the completed 2019 990 form for our records. We began receiving letters from the IRS in fall of 2021 stating that we had not filed our taxes. I have called the IRS many many times, every single day for a couple weeks straight and the finally I only started calling every few days. EVERY single time I called, I would get the same message, "We are too busy to take your call. Please call back another time or another day." When I began receiving letters about being fined for nto submitting the original forms on time, I reached out to an accountant for advise. I was given advise by an accountant to resubmit the forms online before continuing to contact the IRS to dispute the late fees. Unfortunately I am unable to submit an attachment to this explanation so I am still unaware of how to show the copy of the original 990 to the IRS to dispute the late fees.
