The board Chairman is responsible forreviewing the signed statements and ensuring that interested persons are incompliance with the conflict of interest policy. Should any potential conflicts ofinterest be disclosed, the board member or officer would be asked to refrain from participation in any deliberation or decision with regard to matters affected by therelationship. Form 990, Part VI, Line 15a: Compensation Review & Approval Process - CEO, Top Management When the new CEO was hired in 2015, a compensation study was performed. Compensationfor CEO positions of similar size and mission type organizations were considered.The CEO's recommended compensation was presented and approved by the independentboard. The process was documented in the board minutes. Form 990, Part VI, Line 15b: Compensation Review and Approval Process for Officers and Key Employees In the past several years there have been no raises provided to staff due to severefinancial constraints. In 2019, raises were provided for staff members who changedpositions, but were paid less than the previous position holder. Also, after manyyears of no raises, cost-of-living raises were provided for some staff.
