The IRS sent a letter dated May 6, 2022 returning the paper filed completed form 990 dated November 15, 2021. An extension was filed on time and granted prior to that. The letter indicated that only e-filing was acceptable and instructed us to do so within 10 days of the letter date, and we received it on May 12, 2022. We sent a fax to the sender of the letter using the fax number provided, with explanations and a description of circumstances back in 2021 at the time of original paper filing, and today's circumstances trying to engage this e-filing and unfamiliar electronic data entry effort. and request for a few days additional time should this process be somewhat delayed in any way.
