These include food - three meals per day and snacks, laundry services, showers, wi-fi, computers and printers, mail service, phone service, access to an onsite clothing and bedding program, and access to the personal items essential to womens health and hygiene, a personal room where they can get items like reading glasses, shampoo, soaps, eye drops, sanitary/hygiene products, dental products, razors, baby wipes/diapers. The Organizations housing services are provided through its integrative, permanent community supportive housing (IPCSH) program which is designed to provide rapid housing with comprehensive housing stabilization services to the most difficult-to-house population of women. All of these women have mental health challenges and are victims of sexual assault. The Organization does this by supporting tenants with long-term crisis & stabilization services including case management, peer, and professional counseling & referrals. The vanguard program is a cooperation between each individual woman and the Organization staff working together to ensure independent living. The Organization has safe housing units, with rent/utility/financial assistance and provides 24/7 case management & community integration services. The immediate goal of clinical/case management services is to provide safety/stability and quickly de-escalate and stabilize our clients. Services, free of charge, include informal biopsychosocial interviews, appropriate screenings for partner/stranger violence, history and risk of suicidal/homicidal intentions, behavioral health and addictions disorders, disability eligibility, and health incompetences. Services that address these issues are either provided directly, on-site and through referrals and partnerships to appropriate behavioral and physical health services. At that time, the Executive Director or authorized management representative will review the draft 990 with the Board Treasurer. Any necessary changes will then be updated on the form. Once all necessary changes are made and the Executive Director or authorized management representative and Board Treasurer are in agreement on the draft form 990, the entire governing board will be provided a copy before filing. Conflict of interest policy compliance Part VI line 12c All purchases and contracts must be reviewed and approved by the Executive Director. If any conflict is apparent, the Executive Director will take the issue to the Board Chair for review and appropriate action to be determined. Part III response or note to any other line in Part III The Womens Center (the Organization) is a multi-service crisis intervention and assessment center, located in downtown Raleigh, NC. We work with each individual woman to break the cycle of trauma, abuse, violence and homelessness and assist her in realizing a fulfilling dignified life, achieving self-sufficiency, and obtaining safe affordable housing. The Organization has been an established and welcoming portal of entry for homeless women for over 40 years. We provide a safe, low barrier, client-centered and trauma informed environment for women, where they can begin the stabilization and healing process.
