Form 990, Part III, Line 4a Form 990, Part III, Line 4a - Program Service Accomplishments. WAW provided family oriented guidance at its family guidance centers in Afghanistan; provided safe place to stay, learn and associate with ot others for women at its women shelters; provided pro bono counseling, mediation and legal advice. Moreover, at its Children Support Center WAW housed hundreds of kids who would have otherwise been living with their mothers in prisons - without any access to appropriate nutrition, health services or educational opportunities. WAW also provided women rights and human rights training programs for thousands of Afghan men, women and children in masjids, police stations, community centers, schools and government offices. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b Form 990, Part VI, Line 11 b - Review Process: The board of directors delegate the authority to review and approve the prepared form 990 to the financial controller and other members of the management. Once approved, a complete copy of the form 990 is provided to each member of the finance committee and then submitted to the IRS. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c Form 990, Part Part VI, Line 12c - Explanation of Monitoring and Enforcement of Conflicts: The organization enforces the conflict of interest policy by monitoring known relationships, questionnaires that are signed by the board members on an annual basis, and noting any change in disclosed information. Any conflict is reviewed by the board before a decision is made as to whether to approve the transactions. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15 Form 990, Part Part VII Line 15: Compensation of Officers, Directors....: The board of directors evaluates senior officers' performance and determine a reasonable compensation. While the Executive Director's pay is more directly determined by the board, the board also weighs in on other compensation issues, including payment of bonuses, approval of pension plans, and other benefits. All other governing documents are available upon request. Form 990, Part XII, Line 3b The audit was delayed due to the COVID and crisis in Afghanistan in August 2021. Audit is planned to start in May 2022. Form 990 for tax period ended Dec.31, 2020 has been filed on time, and returned to WAW with letter number: LTR2694C on June 13, 2022 because it has to be filed electronically.
